摘要: In recent correspondence with a surgeon friend from China, I was told that China has changed considerably in the past decade. I can believe it. The ever-present pressures of society and politics, the worldwide demands for cooperation ans mutual assistance, the recent wars and threats thereof, the apparent increased incidence of natural disasters, and most strikingly the quantum leap of technology and communication over the recent past have affected every area of life.
